DECEMBER! OH HOW YOU DAZZLE!!
When December dares to dazzle,
Putting Solstice 'on the books';
The centaur salves his spirit,
Mustering ready, wintry hoofs.
The stars cede reign to Jupiter,
From icy dawn to dusk;
Grey geese
embrace a harvest moon,
The air explodes with musk.
The shortest day will take its bow
When darkness dances early;
Behold the ink that nighttime brings,
'Mid moon glow, fresh and pearly...
Yet, snowflakes hint of 'things to come';
(Earth
casts its mighty die)...
Aged centaurs pass eight gold batons;
Eight reindeer rule the sky !
