GROUND-HOG  DAY POETRY

[for we Michiganders]

Our state pet's

Not a ground-hog

But a churlish

Wolverine...

I ponder what

This wretch will spy

Come Wednesday's

Frosty scene...

Perhaps our

Roguish mascot

Scores forecasts

"Same as Phil"

But should HIS

Silhouette be seen,

They'll be TWO

We'd  like 'to kill' !

If, however,

"Michigan's muse"

Proves NO dim

Shape in sight,

Should Ground-hog

Phil 'see otherwise':

Only one of them

Is  RIGHT !!
